The Sangguniang Bayan for the Period 2010-2013 Ends with a Bang

On June 30, 2013, the Sangguniang Bayan of the Municipality of Balete for the Period 2010-2013 will formally turn over the legislative torch to the newly elected incoming members of the 2013-2016 Sangguniang Bayan. As it let go of it, the dynamic Body will leave behind a legacy of being unopposed when all of the municipal officials of Balete sought office way back in May 2010. As if proving their worth, the 10-members of that august Body worked closely with Mayor Bobby Calizo and the rest of the Executive Departments for an effective and transparent local governance that won for the Local Government Unit the much coveted Seal of Good Housekeeping Award from 2010 to 2011 (It has been whispered that it won the 2012 Silver but as to date no "official" announcement has been made).
